Hot single coil
This pickup is a hot single coil, great for sss strats in the bridge position. It gives a Richie Blackmore , Deep purple type sound. The pickup was used in a Mexican strat in the bridge and now the guitar is everything I expected from this guitar. Great addition to this guitar.

It is the one pickup that can get that lovely clean and powerful lead guitar tone in the song "When a blind man cries" & this pickup keeps that famous Strat tone even though it is a high gain pickup. Definitely not a classic spanky strat sound, if you roll it back though it is close, but when it's wide open it screams! My quarter pound flat measures 15.2k-ohm - she's hot! Super thick creamy single coil sound. No regrets with this purchase at all. I run a tb4 trembucker in the bridge position with this quarter pound at the neck, it makes an excellent pair!
