Outstanding seller! Great selection of quality parts. Only one problem: The Switchcraft ‘RELIC AGED’ Input Output Jack pictured in their ad does not represent what I actually received. The ones I received are MUCH closer to the brand new (“Shiny”) ones they sell for half the price; so if you’re expecting what is represented in their ad picture, I’d recommend looking elsewhere. Otherwise, my items were shipped-out promptly and nicely packaged.

    Old School Plus

    On a whim, I bought this pickup set to install in a project build. I've had great success with DiMarzio Model P and Split P pickups, so I thought I'd try these. Wow! From the moment I played the first blues run, I was won over. Nothing sounds so much like an old fashioned upright bass as these do! The combination of the Will Power pups and Rotosound 77 flatwound jazz strings is pure heaven.

    Should you get it? YES

    Hot pick-up! Has ALOT of low mid growl with the expected 'p bass' punch. Non of the high end harshness that come with some other 'hot' pick-ups. Can't really say anything bad. If you know Billy's sound, you know the DP 146. (stereo bass or not) It's all about personal taste, but I highly recommend at least trying it out without a tone control (volume only). Let the full spectrum of sound flow into your amp and tailor at the preamp = AWESOME! (That's the way the Yamaha attitude LTDs are wired ...with the tone control affecting the neck humbucker only) In a sea of aftermarket splits, this one definitely stands out.

    Amazing pickups at a great price!

    I have been a huge fan of Billy Sheehan for a while now and finally got a bass with a p pickup rout in it. I decided to install the Will Power Middle pickup and I was blown away! That bass now has more gain than my active bass with the preamp turned up all the way! Well, it did before I put a volume and tone control on that bass. The volume and tone wrangle the pickup nicely; however, these pickups kick butt when they just have a series/parallel switch and a kill switch. With the kill switch + series/ parallel switch, these pickups will have one of three settings. Off, balls to the wall, or balls through the wall! The pickups are awesome and the seller is amazing!
